Improving passenger flow and crowd management through technology and innovation

The public transport sector in all corners of the world has been dramatically affected by the global COVID-19 crisis. In order to support the process of revitalising confidence in public transport, UITP wishes to explore the methods for improving the passenger flow in public transport systems, in particular in urban networks (railway/metro/bus/tram), to maximise the number of passengers, while offering the most comfortable and safest passenger experience.
